Our website address is: https://ucluelethistory.ca.  This is the official website of the Ucluelet and Area Historical Society based in Ucluelet, British Columbia, Canada.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Contact Form & Newsletter Sign-Up

Our Contact page allows you to email the Society directly. The information contained on this form (name, email address and message) is used to respond to your enquiry and is not used for any other purpose.  It is not sold to any other party. Your email address may be used to send you information about our work, events and exhibits.

We use MailChimp to allow interested individuals to sign up for our newsletter by submitting their email address.  When you receive an email from us via MailChimp, this will include a link for you to unsubscribe.  Please review the privacy notice of MailChimp at the following link:

Website Caching

This site utilizes caching in order to facilitate a faster response time and better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site. All cache files are temporary, and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator, but may easily be purged by the admin before their natural expiration, if necessary. Website Analytics

We do not track users or have an analytics programme installed on this website.  Our web hosting account may collect some anonymous analytics data.
